Our Purpose:
- Educating
students so that they will have the knowledge, proficiency, and
competence in massage therapy techniques, theory and practices,
anatomy and physiology, pathology, hydrotherapy, risk
management, business practices, and assessment
- Providing
standards of ethical behavior in the therapeutic setting and
knowledge of laws and statutes governing the practice of massage
- Guiding
students and providing educational tools needed to reach
individual goals
- Preparing
students to sit for the Florida State Board Exam for massage
therapy

STACY GIOIA, L.M.T., Space Coast Health Institute
Valedictorian, Basic Massage Therapy Program, Business Management
and Marketing, Insurance Billing
Stacy Gioia, L.M.T., is the Founder and Director of the Gioia
Academy for Massage. She graduated from Space Coast Health Institute
in 2000 and was Valedictorian in her class. She has successfully run
her own business since the fall of 2000. Stacy’s love of science,
passion for massage and deep desire to help others learn to do
massage professionally and to the best of their ability makes her a
perfect fit as Director and Instructor.
JENNIFER JENSEN, L.M.T., Space Coast Health Institute
Valedictorian, Basic Massage Therapy Program, Aromatherapy
Jennifer Jensen, L.M.T., is an instructor at the Gioia Academy for
Massage. She graduated from Space Coast Health Institute in 1998 and
was Valedictorian in her class. Jennifer has an extensive knowledge
of essential oils. She has been successfully working as a massage
therapist since she graduated and became licensed.
CAMILLE MISA, Esq., University of Florida, B.S., Stetson
University College of Law, J.D., Florida Statutes and Law Review;
Chapter 480, Ethics, Business Practices and Professionalism
Camille Misa, Esq., is an instructor at the Gioia Academy for
Massage. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1988 with a
Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a Thomas Scholarship
in Marketing and Advertising. Camille then graduated from Stetson
University College of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in 1993
and became a member of the Florida Bar in 1994. She became a
certified personal trainer in 2001 and had her own gym and very
successful business for more than two years. Her legal background
and experience in business gives her a well rounded perspective
required for a complete education in massage therapy.
